Round Table India, Area 9, performed a Bhoomi Puja for a new integrated government school in D. Pochampally, Dundigal Municipality, Medchal–Malkajgiri District, Telangana, on October 18, 2026. This project aims to enhance government school facilities and create better learning opportunities for children from underprivileged families.
The ceremony marked the start of an educational initiative under Round Table India's 'Freedom Through Education' (FTE) program. This reflects the organization's commitment to empowering communities through quality education.
The proposed school will serve as a modern educational institution for students from Classes I to X. It will offer essential academic infrastructure and a supportive learning environment for children from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
Anirudh Sompalli, Chairman of Round Table India – Area 9 (2026–27), spoke about the urgent need for accessible government school education in the area. He stated that about 7,000 families living below the poverty line reside in the surrounding communities.
Sompalli added that many children currently travel long distances to attend high school in government institutions. The new school will help address this by providing education closer to their homes.
