The Fauzi team released a new poster on Friday morning to mark Prabhas's birthday. It shows his profile on a golden coin surrounded by flames, with the lines "A Battalion Who Fights Alone" and "Most Wanted Since 1939". The poster points to the film's historical setting and his look as a soldier.
A glimpse, not a teaser
A special video that asks "Who is he?" and introduces Prabhas's character is due today. Producer Ravi Shankar said it is "a glimpse into the world of Fauji, not a teaser or trailer," and asked fans not to expect a large-scale promo.
The film is set in colonial India in the 1940s, with Prabhas playing a soldier. Imanvi is the female lead. Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar produce it under Mythri Movie Makers. The makers have not officially announced a release date.
Old favourites back in theatres
For the birthday, S.S. Rajamouli's Chatrapathi and Varsham, starring Prabhas, Trisha and Gopichand, are back in theatres today in remastered 4K. Special fan shows of Varsham are planned at Devi 70MM and Sudarshan 35MM in Hyderabad.
