Candidates protested on Thursday at the Marketing Department office in Gopalapatnam, Visakhapatnam district. They expressed concern over the delay in filling posts at Rythu Bazars (farmer markets).
Last month, Marketing Department officials initiated the selection process for three State Officer posts and ten Supervisor posts. The notification for these positions was issued in the first week of last month.
However, candidates alleged that despite the completion of the selection process, joining orders have not yet been issued. Officials responded by stating that the selection process was completed last month and joining orders would be issued soon.
Candidates also pointed out that these officials do not have the authority to issue press releases regarding Rythu Bazar postings through the Joint Collector. They demanded clarification on this matter.
Protesters expressed distress, stating that the recruitment process for Rythu Bazars lacks transparency and is causing injustice to eligible candidates. This delay is causing significant hardship for unemployed individuals.
This protest reflects the broader concerns of unemployed youth in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Delays in government job recruitment are leading to growing frustration among young people, and the government must address this issue promptly.
