Producer and actor Shiraz Mehdi of 'O Andala Rakshasi' has expressed deep concern, stating that small films are suffering significant losses due to the lack of theater allocations and opportunities for OTT and satellite rights sales. He highlighted that this situation is severely impacting the small film industry.

Mehdi voiced his dissatisfaction with the conduct of organizations such as the Film Chamber, PVR, INOX, and Asian Films. He emphasized that small films are not receiving adequate support.

These remarks were made during a press conference held in Banjara Hills on Thursday. He called for the resolution of issues faced by small producers.

Shiraz Mehdi appealed to Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to intervene in the problems faced by small producers. He urged the Chief Minister to ensure transparency in theater allocations and provide subsidies to support small films.

Mehdi also demanded the establishment of a Telangana division in place of the Telugu Film Chamber. He believes this would provide greater assistance to small film producers in Telangana.

The lack of access to theaters, OTT, and satellite rights for small films is causing financial distress for many independent producers in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Resolving this issue would significantly boost the local film industry.
