Telangana boasts global education standards, which is attracting many foreign universities to establish their campuses in the state, stated South Yorkshire Mayor Oliver Coppard during his visit to Hyderabad.

Coppard highlighted that 20,000 students from Telangana have pursued their studies at Sheffield Hallam University. This strong connection is a key reason why UK universities are keen to welcome students from India.

Mayor Coppard explained that parents aspire for their children to be educated in institutions that foster knowledge and intellectual growth. This aspiration is driving foreign universities to set up their campuses in Telangana.

Coppard, who is in Hyderabad to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on education and research with the ICFAI Foundation, expressed his expectation that more universities will arrive in Hyderabad in the future.

The presence of global education standards in Telangana means local students will have more opportunities for higher education within the state, potentially reducing the need to travel abroad. This development significantly boosts the education sector in the region.
