Telangana's School Education Director Naveen Nicholas has mandated that all government and private schools and colleges in the state must display the 'Prashast' sensitization orientation module on October 7, as reported by V6 Velugu. This initiative is set to commence in Hyderabad on October 3, 2026.
V6 Velugu stated that this awareness program aims to identify any disabilities in children at an early stage and provide them with appropriate assistance. The goal is to create an inclusive educational environment for children with special needs.
The Central Ministry of Education has developed a special 30-minute module, according to V6 Velugu. This module is designed to help foster an educational environment that is conducive for children with special needs.
In line with this, School Education Director Naveen Nicholas has issued orders to the DEOs, V6 Velugu reported. These orders will serve as guidelines for the implementation of the program.
The orientation module will be available in 12 Indian languages on the official portal (https://prashast.education.gov.in/) starting October 7, V6 Velugu informed. Headmasters can access it through their HM login and view it via the video tutorial option.
This program will significantly benefit students in Telangana by enabling early detection of disabilities and providing necessary support for their education. It plays a crucial role in ensuring equal opportunities for all children across the state.
