The Andhra Pradesh government has introduced two crucial initiatives to ensure immediate medical assistance for accident victims. These programs, named Pre-hospital Notification and State Trauma Registry, aim to provide timely treatment to those affected.
Under these new policies, details of every accident victim brought to government hospitals must be registered in a digital format. These measures have been implemented in accordance with Supreme Court directives.
Through the Pre-Hospital Notification initiative, 108-ambulance staff will alert the concerned hospital while transporting an accident victim. This ensures that hospital staff are prepared in advance.
By the time the victim reaches the hospital, the medical emergency team, blood, X-ray, scanning, and surgery sections will be ready to provide medical treatment. This prevents delays in treatment.
The Directorate of Medical Education (DME) developed these programs. Dr. Sunitha Sankar, the state Trauma and Burns nodal officer, released these details.
These new initiatives will ensure immediate and effective medical assistance for the people of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana during accidents, thereby helping to reduce loss of life.
