Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) staff completed repairs to a damaged Krishna Phase-2 drinking water pipeline near Nagole Metro Station within five hours.

The incident took place around 4 am near pillar number 813 at Uppal Bhagayat. A car struck an air valve, causing damage to the pipeline system.

The vehicle hit the iron safety barrier protecting the air valve, damaging both the fence and the valve itself. This impact disrupted water flow.

Immediately after the accident, water board transmission officials shut down the relevant pumps to control the water flow and prevent further issues.

Managing Director K Ashok Reddy instructed officials to carry out emergency repairs. Following his directives, work proceeded quickly to restore the water supply.
