The soft launch of outpatient (OP) services at the Warangal Hospital, which was scheduled to coincide with the Dasara festival, has been postponed due to unforeseen circumstances, officials announced.

State Revenue and Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy had previously stated that the hospital would commence OP services as a Dasara gift.

Officials clarified that the inauguration had to be deferred because the hospital building construction, essential infrastructure, and medical equipment installation are not yet complete.

The postponement has led to disappointment among the residents of the erstwhile Warangal district.

Local public organizations have criticized the ministers, alleging that deadlines are being announced without adequate preparation.

These organizations further accused the government of lacking genuine commitment to public health, suggesting that such announcements are primarily for publicity.
