TG Safe officials conducted raids on snack manufacturing units in Premavathi Pet, near Kathedan, Hyderabad. During the operation, officials seized 55 tonnes of unhygienic food products, estimated to be worth Rs. 33.94 lakh.
The raids targeted five snack manufacturing units belonging to Sahil Foods. Officials identified several violations of food safety regulations during their inspections.
Authorities suspended the FSSAI licenses and registrations of four units found operating in violation of established norms. These units have been ordered to cease their business operations immediately.
Officials stated that the seized food products lacked proper labeling, which is a key requirement for food safety. The total quantity of food items confiscated amounted to 55 tonnes.
Officials clarified that stringent measures will be taken against businesses that fail to comply with food safety standards.
