Andhra Pradesh teaching hospitals have launched a pre-hospital notification system with the aim of providing immediate medical assistance to road accident victims. Through this system, information about the patient's health condition will be provided to the hospital even before they are transported.
The Director of Medical Education initiated these two key programs. The primary objective is to provide treatment as quickly as possible to those injured in road accidents.
Along with the pre-hospital notification system, a national trauma registry has also been made available. This registry records accident details and will be useful for providing better medical services in the future.
When accident victims are transported to the hospital in 108 ambulances, the hospital receives prior information about their health condition. This allows doctors to be prepared and start treatment without wasting time.
These initiatives will play a crucial role in providing better and faster medical services to road accident victims in the state. This will help save lives of the public.
