Over 25,000 nominations have been submitted for the elections to 100 urban local bodies in Andhra Pradesh. A total of 25,809 candidates filed their nominations for the polls scheduled for October 28.
These nominations were received for positions as ward members, and for mayors or chairpersons of municipal corporations, municipalities, and nagar panchayats.
Candidates across the state submitted their papers to contest in various urban local bodies.
The voting for these elections is set for October 28.
