Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka conducted a review meeting with senior finance department officials at the secretariat. He assessed the implementation of sub-plans, departmental allocations, and expenditure patterns during the meeting.
Bhatti instructed finance officials to hold special reviews with departments that showed gaps in fund utilization. He emphasized the need to ensure proper use of allocated funds.
The departments identified for focused monitoring include agriculture, health, energy, municipal administration, panchayat raj, social welfare, industries, and tribal welfare. These departments will receive closer scrutiny regarding their spending.
The Deputy Chief Minister stated that separate meetings would be held with departmental secretaries to review spending. The goal is to ensure optimal utilization of the remaining funds within these departments.
Bhatti also called for measures to strengthen the state’s finances. This includes improving revenue mobilization, controlling expenditure, and restructuring debt to enhance financial stability.
He directed officials to identify new revenue sources and ensure the efficient use of public resources. Budget planning must align with development and welfare priorities, he added.
