Bhatti Vikramarka, speaking as the chief guest at a meeting organised by the Khammam District Congress Committee in Khammam, urged party cadre to take up the graduates’ voter registration drive as a movement and ensure that every eligible graduate is enrolled as a voter.

He suggested holding meetings in all five assembly constituencies, followed by mandal and village-level meetings to expedite voter registration. This approach, he noted, would make the registration process more efficient and far-reaching.

Bhatti pointed out that even graduates who had registered previously would have to enrol again under the current election process. He emphasized the importance of communicating this to the public to ensure re-registration.

He urged leaders to first identify eligible graduates in Congress-supporting families and then reach out to neutral voters and those favourably inclined towards the government’s welfare schemes. This strategy aims to broaden the scope of the voter registration drive.

He also asked party leaders to publicise the benefits of the state’s welfare schemes in every household and distribute pamphlets explaining them. This effort would ensure that the public is well-informed about the government's initiatives.

This voter registration drive is significant for readers in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana as it aims to significantly increase the number of registered graduate voters, thereby enhancing their participation in upcoming elections.
