Approximately 1.63 lakh high-density votes, where 15 or more votes are registered at a single address across 119 Assembly constituencies in Telangana, have been identified, V6 Velugu reported. BJP leaders have urged the Chief Electoral Officer to conduct a physical verification of these votes.

The BJP has alleged that thousands of bogus and duplicate votes are present under single addresses in the state. The party demanded a clean-up of the voter list and strict action against those responsible for the erroneous lists.

A BJP election commission team submitted a representation to the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) on Wednesday regarding this issue. They requested that the discrepancies in the voter list be rectified.

According to V6 Velugu, BJP leaders expressed concern that while the DSE and PSE algorithms identify errors through the ERO Net software as per Central Election Commission rules, Booth Level Officers are lagging in issuing Form-7 notices.

These allegations pose a challenge to the transparency of the electoral process in Telangana. Addressing this issue is crucial, as errors in the voter list could potentially impact election outcomes.
