BRS MLC L Ramana alleged that the suicides of handloom workers in Telangana are tantamount to murders by the Congress government. He made these remarks during a press conference held at Telangana Bhavan on Thursday, alongside other BRS leaders.
L Ramana criticized Chief Minister Revanth Reddy's Siricilla meeting, stating that it brought no benefit to the district's people, especially the handloom workers. He further claimed that Congress leaders misled the public for ten days before ultimately giving up.
According to Namasthe Telangana, L Ramana expressed concern that 54 handloom workers have died by suicide since the Congress assumed power.
BRS leaders are attributing these suicides to the negligence of the Congress government. They have demanded that the government take immediate action for the welfare of handloom workers.
