BRS MP Damodar Rao Appointed to Parliamentary Standing Committee on Defence

BRS MP Damodar Rao Divakonda has secured a place in the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Defence for 2026-27, Namasthe Telangana reported. This is considered another honour for the Rajya Sabha member.

As part of this reorganization, Kesineni Srinath from Andhra Pradesh has also been selected for this committee, according to Namasthe Telangana.

The Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, and actor Kamal Haasan are also members of this committee, Namasthe Telangana stated.

This committee will oversee the affairs of the Ministry of Defence for the years 2026-27.
