Mahesh Bigala, Coordinator of the BRS Global NRI wing, on October 18, 2026, strongly condemned a news report. He stated that the article was published with the intent to damage the reputation of KCR, Telangana's former Chief Minister.
Bigala asserted that when allegations link Telangana farmers' irrigation needs to KCR's personal farm, the publisher has a responsibility to present official evidence to the public.
He stated that it is not justifiable to create misconceptions among the public through sensational headlines without providing detailed information. Bigala added that the BRS NRI wing supports journalism that questions on behalf of the people.
However, he clarified that they strongly oppose the irresponsible publication of allegations that undermine individuals' dignity and public trust. Bigala emphasized that discussions regarding Telangana's irrigation projects should be grounded in facts, technical details, and official records.
He demanded that the management provide clear answers to the questions raised by the BRS Legal Cell concerning the article.
