The BRS party has accused a daily newspaper of publishing a false report aimed at tarnishing the image of its leader, former Telangana Chief Minister KCR. Soma Bharat Kumar, in-charge of the BRS legal cell, issued a legal notice to the newspaper's management and editor on Sunday.
The BRS alleges that on October 17, the newspaper published a front-page article titled 'Kondapochamma Diverted to KCR's Farmhouse'. The party claims this report is entirely untrue and was published with the intention of defaming KCR.
The BRS has demanded an unconditional apology from the newspaper within 24 hours for the alleged false reporting. The legal notice specifies that this apology must be published prominently on the front page of the newspaper.
Soma Bharat Kumar's notice also states that the apology must be disseminated across the newspaper's digital platforms and official social media accounts.
