Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu visited Burripalem in the Tenali constituency of Guntur district. He laid the foundation stone for houses to be constructed using 3D printing technology, alongside Union Minister for Rural Development Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Dailyhunt reported.
Dailyhunt stated that 3D concrete printing technology is being implemented as a pilot project for the first time in rural housing in the country under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin (PMAY-G).
For this project, the central government will provide Rs. 9.44 crore, and the state government will contribute Rs. 4.49 crore, Dailyhunt reported.
On this occasion, CM Chandrababu stated that the three lakh houses currently sanctioned for the state are insufficient, and he has requested the central government for an additional six lakh houses, according to Dailyhunt.
These 3D printed homes are set to usher in a new era in the state's housing sector. This initiative will help accelerate housing construction in the rural areas of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
