Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has directed officials to accelerate road projects within the CURE zone, the area falling within Hyderabad's Outer Ring Road (ORR). This decision was made during a review on Friday night concerning the improvement of public transportation, road connectivity, and the utilization of recycled water, as reported by The Hans India.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy instructed officials to design a Personal Rapid Transit (PRT) system. This system aims to connect high-traffic areas, including locations frequented by the public and workplaces for factory workers and employees, with Metro, MMTS, and bus stations, according to The Hans India.
The authorities were further instructed to study the world's best PRT systems and submit a comprehensive report. The focus is on selecting key neighborhoods and utilizing state-of-the-art technology for efficient maintenance, The Hans India reported.
The meeting also discussed accelerating the construction of flyovers and underpasses to enhance connectivity among various areas within the city. The selection of key neighborhoods and the use of state-of-the-art technology were key points of discussion, as per The Hans India.
These initiatives are expected to significantly improve public transportation and reduce travel times within Hyderabad's CURE zone. This will directly benefit residents of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana by providing more efficient urban mobility.
