According to Namasthe Telangana, the Congress government has deliberately neglected the Kaleshwaram project and is now singing the tune of drought. Namasthe Telangana stated that even as the cabinet discussed drought in 235 mandals across the state, a lakh cusecs of Godavari flood continued at Medigadda.

Namasthe Telangana reported that despite a lakh cusecs of flow at Medigadda until recently, and the opportunity to fill all projects under the Kaleshwaram radar, the Revanth government's inaction has resulted in all North Telangana irrigation projects remaining empty.

Namasthe Telangana claimed that the government is merely observing, neglecting public interests, and that Godavari waters are still flowing to Andhra. It warned that if the waters are not lifted now, there will be a severe crisis for drinking water.

Namasthe Telangana accused the government of making excuses and attempting to evade responsibility for water mismanagement by blaming El Nino. Namasthe Telangana reiterated that the Congress government has deliberately neglected the Kaleshwaram project and is now singing the tune of drought.

This situation raises serious concerns for farmers and residents in Telangana, as empty irrigation projects will severely impact those dependent on agriculture and could lead to a shortage of drinking water.
