Telangana Congress working president Jagga Reddy organized an innovative program in Sangareddy under the banner of 'Save Our Votes'. This initiative was launched in support of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's campaign to protect voting rights.
During the program, Jagga Reddy urged people to submit appeals in a ballot box, including their names, polling booth numbers, and messages, expressing solidarity with the campaign to protect voting rights.
He accused the BJP government at the Centre of vote theft. He further stated that the BJP government and the Central Election Commission (CEC) should step down, as reported by The Times of India.
The Times of India reported that Rahul Gandhi has already met the President of India on this issue. Jagga Reddy affirmed that in support of Rahul Gandhi's fight, he is sending voter cards from Sangareddy to the President of India.
Under the 'Save Our Votes' banner, a specially designed ballot box was introduced to allow people to express their solidarity with the campaign. This provided a platform for citizens to voice their concerns regarding voting rights.
This program, focusing on the protection of voting rights in Telangana, holds significant political importance. It contributes to raising awareness among voters about their rights and stimulating political discourse within the state.
