CPM Nalgonda District Secretary Tummala Veerareddy demanded the swift completion of the Palamuru-Rangareddy and Dindi lift irrigation projects. He emphasized that these projects aim to provide water to Mahabubnagar, Nalgonda, and Rangareddy districts.
The cabinet previously decided to divert water from the Yedulla reservoir to the Dindi lift irrigation project. Veerareddy urged the government to implement this decision without delay.
The CPM condemned proposals to divert water from Narlapur, stating that such actions go against the cabinet's original resolution. Veerareddy clarified that these alternative plans undermine the core purpose of the projects.
The CPM called for the provision of irrigation and drinking water to fluoride-affected areas, along with the Devarakonda and Munugode constituencies. Veerareddy stated that these projects are essential to meet the long-standing needs of the residents in these regions.
