Hyderabad, October 19: BRS MLA Dasoju Sravan has raised serious objections regarding the functioning of the cabinet subcommittee formed by the state government on the impact of El Nino. He questioned the government's decision to form the subcommittee now, after six months of inaction.
Dasoju Sravan stated that warnings about El Nino's effects were issued in April, yet the government took no action. He questioned the utility of forming a subcommittee after a six-month delay.
The BRS MLA accused the state government of forming the subcommittee merely as a delaying tactic to evade its responsibilities. He criticized the government for failing to address the public's concerns.
Dasoju Sravan opined that the government should have been proactive in addressing the issues arising from El Nino's impact. He stated that forming a subcommittee in haste now would not yield any benefits.
Dasoju Sravan demanded that the government explain the real situation to the public and announce a clear action plan to tackle the effects of El Nino. He emphasized that forming subcommittees alone would not resolve the problems.
