Telangana DGP CV Anand issued a verbal warning on Friday, stating that strict action would be taken against police personnel found dancing in uniform. This warning follows the recent viral spread of several videos showing police officers dancing in uniform online.
The DGP clarified that dancing in police uniform and participating in private events are against departmental regulations. He emphasized that it is inappropriate for officers, whose primary duty is to maintain law and order, to engage in such activities.
CV Anand sternly warned that such actions would no longer be tolerated. He stated that strict measures would be implemented against those who violate these regulations, and these orders are effective immediately.
The DGP stressed the importance of discipline within the police department and the need to uphold the dignity of the uniform. He instructed officials to ensure that such incidents do not recur in the future.
