Joint Collector Dr. Abhishek Gowda inspected the arrangements for the Eluru Municipal Corporation elections on Monday. He reviewed the distribution of polling materials, strong rooms for ballot boxes, and counting centers.
Dr. Gowda visited the polling material distribution center set up at Sir C.R. Reddy Public School. He advised officials to arrange sufficient tables to ensure the smooth handover of materials to polling staff.
The Joint Collector emphasized the need for waterproof tents at distribution centers to protect materials from unexpected rains. He directed that precautions be taken to prevent materials from getting wet.
He also conducted a field inspection with officials of the strong rooms and counting centers being prepared at Sir C.R. Reddy Engineering College for the secure storage of ballot boxes.
Dr. Abhishek Gowda ordered the installation of CCTV cameras at the distribution and reception centers, as well as at the strong rooms, and mandated full video recording. He also instructed officials to number and secure the ballot boxes properly.
