Former Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar stated that farmers in the state are suffering greatly due to the inefficient administration of the Congress government, and their situation has become alarming. He noted that the plight of farmers has become dire due to prevailing drought conditions and shortages of irrigation water and electricity.

Puvvada criticized the state government for neglecting to take proactive measures despite global weather experts issuing warnings about the El Niño effect for the past nine months. He emphasized that farmers are experiencing severe anxiety due to this governmental negligence.

He commented that even with three ministers from Khammam district, the government has failed to provide irrigation water and electricity to farmers. Puvvada asserted that the inability to supply necessary water and power to farmers is a clear indication of the government's performance.

The former minister demanded that the government immediately respond to farmers' issues and take urgent steps to improve the supply of irrigation water and electricity. He warned that this situation would severely impact the future of farmers across the state.
