The foundation stone for the National Institute of Urban Management (NIAM) project will be laid on Monday in Marlakunta Tanda, an associated village of Kurmidda in Yacharam mandal, Ranga Reddy district. This project is not related to Pharma City.
Farmers are expressing anger over the Revanth government's allocation of land, originally acquired by the previous BRS government for Pharma City, to other projects. They allege that the government promised in its election manifesto to cancel Pharma City and return the land to farmers, but disregarded this commitment after coming to power.
Officials stated that the Chief Minister's visit for the event is being kept confidential. The project has drawn criticism from various quarters.
Additionally, the Chief Minister is scheduled to inaugurate the newly established Future City Commissionerate at Octopus, near Ibrahimpatnam.
