Farmers in several districts of Telangana are expressing serious concerns over power cuts, stating that their crops are drying up and demanding an end to low-voltage issues.
According to a Namasthe Telangana report, farmers besieged substations in various districts on October 6 and staged protests and road blockades.
In Gagillapur, Maddur mandal, Siddipet district, farmers staged a sit-in in front of a substation, demanding 24-hour quality power supply for agriculture.
Farmers have warned that they will agitate against the government if uninterrupted power supply is not provided.
These protests highlight the critical importance of power supply to the agricultural sector in Telangana, where continuous electricity is essential for crop protection.
