Telangana police have registered an FIR against S. Balachander, a BJP booth-level agent, for submitting more than 30 Form 7 applications seeking the deletion of voters from the electoral roll in the Musheerabad Assembly constituency.

All the voters named in these applications are Muslims, according to The South First. The South First also reported that these include Congress booth-level agent Shafiuddin and members of his extended family.

The FIR was registered following a complaint by the Electoral Registration Officer for the Musheerabad constituency.

The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee had earlier sought FIRs against those who submitted bulk Form 7 applications, as stated by The South First.

The submission of bulk applications seeking changes to the electoral roll raises concerns about the transparency and impartiality of the electoral process.

These actions are significant for upholding electoral integrity and protecting voter rights in Telangana.
