Five new permanent judges were sworn in at the Andhra Pradesh High Court on Monday. Chief Justice Lisa Gill administered the oath to the new judges.
According to The Hans India, those who took the oath include Justice Maheswara Rao Kuncheam, Justice Thoota Chandra Dhana Sekar, Justice Challa Gunaranjan, Justice Avadhanam Hari Haranadha Sarma, and Justice Yadavalli Lakshmana Rao.
Prior to the swearing-in ceremony, the notification for the appointment of the five new permanent judges was read out.
The Supreme Court collegium, in its meeting held on September 23, had approved the proposals for appointing these additional judges as permanent judges of the High Court of Andhra Pradesh, as reported by The Hans India.
President Droupadi Murmu issued orders appointing them as judges on September 30.
These appointments strengthen the judicial processes within the Andhra Pradesh High Court, making justice more efficiently accessible to citizens across the state.
