Foreign Medical Graduates (FMG) interns at Karimnagar Government Hospital have boycotted their duties and are protesting. They are demanding equal stipends for equal work.

According to HMTV, FMGs working in government medical colleges across Telangana have launched a protest against the payment of very low stipends.

These interns expressed their distress, stating that despite working equally with Indian Medical Graduates (IMGs), they are being paid a lower stipend.

After completing MBBS, passing FMGE, and fulfilling all necessary qualifications, these doctors are working in Compulsory Rotatory Internship (CRI) in government hospitals.

Despite having equal qualifications and performing equal work, the disparity in stipends is causing financial difficulties for these doctors.

Ensuring equal pay for equal work for doctors serving in government hospitals in Telangana would benefit both the state's medical sector and its citizens.
