Jagitiyal — Former minister and BRS state general secretary T. Jeevan Reddy on Saturday, September 19, accused Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of engaging in "diversionary politics" to distract citizens from the state government's failures in governance.
Speaking to reporters, Jeevan Reddy said the Telangana High Court's verdict disqualifying Congress MLA Danam Nagender was "like a slap" to Revanth Reddy, and argued the CM had lost the moral authority to remain in office given his role in orchestrating defections from BRS.
He alleged that despite drought-like conditions caused by El Niño, the government has kept the Kannepalli pump house shut rather than releasing water — purely so credit for the scheme would not go to former CM K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR). He also said Revanth had failed to provide 24-hour free power to farmers, unlike the previous BRS government.
Jeevan Reddy further alleged that Revanth's conspiratorial claims about the KCR farmhouse were a deliberate attempt to prevent discussion of the Danam Nagender disqualification, clarifying that KCR's farmhouse occupies only 67 acres. He demanded Congress leader Rahul Gandhi immediately remove Revanth Reddy from office, accusing him of making a mockery of democracy.
Separately, former ZP chairperson Dava Vasantha Suresh demanded Revanth Reddy resign, citing the Congress government's failure to fully implement its "six guarantees" welfare promises.
