A free health camp was organized in Qatar for Telugu expatriates to raise awareness about diabetes. According to an Andhrajyothy Gulf representative, this camp aims to prevent the slow spread of diabetes among Indian and other foreign workers.
As per the Andhrajyothy report, it is generally difficult to detect diabetes early, and expatriates tend to neglect it. Andhrajyothy stated that through this camp, the disease can be detected early, and relief can be obtained.
Under the leadership of Gottipati Ramanayya, President of the Qatar Telugu Expatriate Association Andhra Kala Vedika, three Telugu expatriate organizations jointly organized this camp. Telangana Praja Samithi (TPS), Andhra Kala Vedika (AKV), and Telugu Diaspora Federation participated in this event.
The camp was organized for Telugu expatriates and their families with the courtesy of KIMS Hospital. It provided essential health services to expatriates free of charge.
This health camp helps Telugu expatriates in Qatar become aware of chronic diseases like diabetes and detect them early. This contributes to enhancing health security for those who have migrated from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
