The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has found popular market brands Priya Gold biscuits and Dodla milk to be highly adulterated. FSSAI has filed cases against these two companies and one other company.
FSSAI officials conducted inspections at Surya and Agro, the manufacturing company for Priya Gold biscuits. During these inspections, it was found that cattle feed husk was being used for fiber in the biscuits.
Additionally, officials discovered that full cream milk samples from Dodla Dairy had a low fat content. Detergent was also confirmed to be present in the milk.
Officials stated that these adulterated products could severely impact consumers' health. They advised the public to be cautious about the food items they purchase.
FSSAI officials filed cases against the three companies on October 18, 2026. These actions were taken for violating food safety standards.
FSSAI officials clarified that the investigation into these cases is ongoing, and further actions will be taken.
