The Andhra Pradesh government has formulated a comprehensive action plan to develop Rayalaseema into a global horticulture hub, stated Agriculture and Horticulture Minister Kinjarapu Atchannaidu. The aim is to transform Rayalaseema, once considered a symbol of drought, into a world-class center for horticultural products, not just for the country but globally.

According to hmtvlive.com, Minister Kinjarapu Atchannaidu announced the 'Global Horticulture Hub-Rayalaseema Rising' project with an estimated cost of one lakh crore rupees. This project aims to significantly develop the horticulture sector in the Rayalaseema region.

The Minister explained that this initiative will integrate water resources, horticultural cultivation, rural roads, processing, marketing, and exports. This will help strengthen the value chain of horticultural products.

This project is expected to contribute to agricultural development and increase farmers' income in the Rayalaseema region. It will provide a new impetus to the regional economy.

By transforming Rayalaseema into a global horticulture hub, new opportunities will emerge for horticultural products from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in international markets. This will significantly contribute to the economic growth and employment generation in these regions.
