The State Home Department issued orders on Thursday regarding the reorganization of Greater Hyderabad Police Commissionerates. The Home Department Principal Secretary Shikha Goyal issued three separate GOs approving changes to the jurisdiction, zones, divisions, and police station boundaries of Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajgiri, and Cyberabad Commissionerates, v6velugu.com reported.
This reorganization is in line with the restructuring of the GHMC. The state government had issued directives in December 2025 to make changes in the police commissionerates.
According to v6velugu.com, the proposals for establishing the Badangpet Police Station have been withdrawn as per the orders.
v6velugu.com stated that the three commissionerates have been reorganized into Hyderabad, Cyberabad, Malkajgiri, and Future City Commissionerates.
These changes will also be implemented within the Hyderabad Commissionerate.
This reorganization aims to provide better policing services and enhance administrative convenience for citizens in Telangana.
