Voters in the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) elections will cast two separate votes, using different ballot papers for the Mayor and ward corporator positions.
District Collector Abhishikth Kishore announced that a pink ballot paper will be used to elect the Mayor, while a white ballot paper will be used to choose their ward corporator.
The Collector made this statement during a press conference regarding the local body elections, alongside Commissioner of Police Shankabratha Bagchi and GVMC Commissioner Raju.
This dual ballot system ensures clarity for voters in distinguishing between their choices for the mayoral and corporator candidates.
