The Telangana Association of United Kingdom (TAUK) organized grand Handloom Bathukamma and Dasara celebrations in London on October 19, 2026. Over two thousand expatriate Indian families from across the UK attended these festivities.
Member of Parliament Ruth Cadbury, former Member of Parliament Virendra Sharma, Hounslow Mayor Ranjit Gill, and Hounslow Council Leader Shantanu Rajawat participated as chief guests. Anil Kurmachalam, former chairman of the Telangana State Film Development Corporation and founder of TAUK, attended as a special guest.
Sikka Chandrashekar Goud, leader of the local UK Telugu Business Chamber, was also among those present at the celebrations. TAUK President Ratnakar Kadudula stated that Telangana NRIs living in the UK are very active in community service.
Kadudula recalled that many programs were organized to support handloom under the leadership of former Chief Minister KCR. He added that in the same spirit, and in support of former Minister KTR's efforts, the Handloom Bathukamma and Dasara celebrations were held this year as they are every year.
