BRS Deputy Floor Leader Harish Rao criticized the Revanth Reddy government, alleging that the state government organization TOMCOM has become a system that exploits unemployed youth. He stated that TOMCOM is deceiving young people by promising jobs in Germany.
Harish Rao reported that TOMCOM collected Rs 4.10 lakh from each of 70 to 75 young individuals from about 15 districts. He added that with examination, insurance, and visa expenses, this amount reached approximately Rs 4.5 lakh per person.
This alleged deception occurred more than two years ago, Harish Rao said. He highlighted that poor farming families, trusting the government's assurance, spent three years of their income on these fees.
Mothers and wives mortgaged their gold, and families took out loans to pay these sums, Harish Rao stated. He also pointed out that none of the 24 selected candidates could identify the representatives of the German company who interviewed them.
