Former Minister and BRS Deputy Floor Leader Harish Rao launched a scathing attack on Chief Minister Revanth Reddy regarding the drought situation in Telangana. Rao addressed the media at Telangana Bhavan on October 17, 2026.
Harish Rao highlighted that Andhra Pradesh, despite receiving less rainfall than Telangana, has not declared a crop holiday. He accused Revanth Reddy of imposing an artificial drought on the people of Telangana due to his incompetence and lack of foresight, despite higher rainfall.
Rao expressed his anger, stating that Revanth Reddy is telling farmers and the public to "die your own death." He criticized the Chief Minister for his irresponsible conduct.
Harish Rao asserted that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy's inefficiency is the sole reason for the drought conditions in Telangana. He strongly objected to the government's current policies.
