Former Minister Harish Rao has demanded that the Congress national leadership immediately intervene in the attempts to privatize key public sector power utilities in Telangana.
According to Disha daily, he has written a letter to Congress top leader Rahul Gandhi regarding this.
Harish Rao urged to protect TG-Transco, TG-Genco, Singareni, Discoms, and other strategic public sector undertakings from privatization.
He strongly objected to the proposal regarding 26 percent equity dilution/IPO in TG-Transco.
Disha daily stated that this decision could impact the management and control of government power utilities in the future.
