Former Telangana Minister Harish Rao has warned of launching a new water movement if the Godavari-Cauvery river interlinking project moves forward. Speaking at a press conference on Saturday, he alleged a conspiracy behind the project, stating that its agenda has been circulated to all states. Harish Rao also pointed out that Chandrababu Naidu had written a letter concerning this matter on the 7th of this month.
Harish Rao affirmed that the government is committed to protecting Telangana's water rights and will ensure no injustice occurs regarding the Godavari-Cauvery link project. He urged the people of the state to remain vigilant on this issue and indicated that further struggles would be waged on this matter in the future.
