The health scheme has been extended to police personnel starting September 1, providing them with medical services for themselves and their families. Through this scheme, they can avail treatment at 919 empanelled hospitals.
According to The Times of India, the scheme includes 919 empanelled hospitals, comprising 778 private and 141 government facilities. This offers beneficiaries a wide range of medical options.
The scheme provides 1,816 inpatient treatment packages based on Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) rates. These packages cover treatment, medicines, diagnostic tests, consumables, implants, and follow-up services.
In emergencies, beneficiaries can approach the nearest empanelled hospital without prior referral, provided the required details are submitted to the trust within the stipulated time, as reported by The Times of India.
Employees and pensioners contribute 1.5% of their basic pay or pension every month, with the government making an equal contribution, The Times of India stated.
This expansion of the scheme offers significant benefits to police personnel and their families in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, ensuring their access to essential medical care.
