The High Court has expressed strong displeasure over the delay in employee allocation, 12 years after the bifurcation of undivided Andhra Pradesh. It questioned the governments on how much more time they would need to complete this process.
The bench clarified that interim orders could not be extended here, as the dispute related to employee bifurcation is pending in the Supreme Court.
Justices Laxman and Sujana heard petitions filed by Ratnam Andaalu, a professor at Hanamkonda Government Maternity Hospital currently on deputation at Gandhi Medical College, and Srilakshmi, a pathology professor at Maheswaram Government Medical College, on Friday.
These professors approached the High Court challenging the relief orders issued by the state government in September, which allocated them to Andhra Pradesh. The High Court refused to issue interim orders on these allocation directives.
The next hearing has been adjourned to October 29. This prolonged delay significantly impacts the careers and lives of many employees.
This ongoing delay has left the future of thousands of employees in both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in uncertainty. Employees are hoping that the governments will complete this process expeditiously.
