Telugu families residing in Hong Kong celebrated the Telangana Bathukamma festival with grandeur on October 20. The Hong Kong Telugu Samakhya (THKTS) organized the festivities enthusiastically.
A large number of Telugu families, many of whom are expatriates, participated in the festival on the beautiful island of Hong Kong.
Since the formation of Telangana state, organizing the Bathukamma festival annually has become a cherished tradition for the Samakhya. These celebrations help preserve Telugu culture and traditions.
Despite being abroad, the enthusiasm of these families in observing their festivals and traditions has not diminished. They continue to celebrate, staying connected to their roots.
The celebrations provided a platform for Telugus living in Hong Kong to meet each other and share their culture. This fosters unity and strengthens bonds within the community.
The Hong Kong Telugu Samakhya stated that it is working to keep Telangana culture alive abroad and expects such events to continue in the future.
