Significant delays are impacting the final publication of land records in three key districts of Telangana. Out of 38.9 lakh notices generated in these districts, only 33.4 lakh have been parked for final publication, leaving 5.5 lakh yet to be included.
Hyderabad district records the highest balance of pending notices in Telangana, with 2.3 lakh. It is followed by Sangareddy with 1.7 lakh, Medchal-Malkajgiri with 1.6 lakh, and Rangareddy with 1.5 lakh. Notably, three of these four districts with the largest balances are located within the Hyderabad-Cyberabad belt.
In Hyderabad, 18.5% of the generated notices are yet to be parked for final publication, which is higher than the statewide proportion of 13%. Rangareddy at 12.5% and Medchal-Malkajgiri at 11.8% are below this state average.
Collectively, these three districts account for 41.9% of the notices generated statewide, but they represent a disproportionately higher 45.9% of the remaining balance of pending notices. This indicates a concentrated issue in these regions.
This delay in the final publication of land records can significantly impact property owners and potential buyers in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. It creates uncertainty in land transactions and could lead to prolonged administrative processes for citizens.
