Hyderabad police officials have issued directives prohibiting celebratory dances and grand farewells among personnel. This decision comes after several videos went viral on social media, aiming to reinforce discipline within the police force.

The move follows videos of Hyderabad police personnel celebrating the successful conduct of the Ganesh immersion near Hussainsagar. These clips showed senior officers, including Hyderabad police commissioner VC Sajjanar, deputy commissioners, and other personnel dancing after the event, drawing widespread public attention.

More recently, another video from Balapur police station attracted attention after Inspector Rama Krishna, who was transferred around 10 days ago, was given a grand farewell. Women police personnel were seen dancing while the inspector was taken in an open-top jeep amid a shower of flower petals.

Sources indicate that oral instructions were already given to all unit heads to stop this practice, as it was spreading. Officials emphasized that such behavior is not acceptable in uniformed service.

These measures are intended to maintain professionalism and discipline within the police force. This is crucial for upholding public respect and trust in law enforcement across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
