Andhra Pradesh IAS officer Vikranth Marmat has been transferred by the government. This action follows a case registered against him for an altercation and abuse of police officers at a pub in Bengaluru.

Vikranth Marmat, along with his friends, engaged in a dispute with police at the pub. Following the registration of a case regarding this incident, the government took action against him.

Vikranth Marmat, who was serving as the Project Director of the Kuppam Area Development Authority, has been removed from his post. Chief Secretary G Sai Prasad issued orders instructing him to report to the General Administration Department (GAD immediately).

The Andhra Pradesh government has also directed the Chittoor Collector to make arrangements for an in-charge appointment in place of Vikas Marmat.

This incident has sparked significant discussion regarding the conduct of government officials. Many believe that officials, who are expected to be role models for the public, should not be involved in such controversies.
